Phase diagram of a lattice microemulsion model in two dimensions.

چکیده
The phase diagram of a lattice microemulsion model proposed by Ciach, Høye and Stell [1,2] is studied using mean-field theory and Monte Carlo simulations. Surfactant directional degrees of freedom are summed out exactly before mean-field theory is applied, and the resulting phase diagrams are much improved compared with previous mean-field results. The critical line and tricritical point is located using Monte Carlo simulations and finite size scaling.

Magnetic Properties in a Spin-1 Random Transverse Ising Model on Square Lattice
In this paper we investigate the effect of a random transverse field, distributed according to a trimodal distribution, on the phase diagram and magnetic properties of a two-dimensional lattice (square with z=4), ferromagnetic Ising system consisting of magnetic atoms with spin-1. This study is done using the effectivefield theory (EFT) with correlations method. The equations are derived using...
متن کاملPhysico-chemical evaluation of a biocompatible microemulsion system containing IPM/Tween80/Isobutanol
A biocompatible microemulsion system comprising of isopropyl myristate (IPM) as oil, tween 80 as a non-ionic surfactant and isobuthanol as co-surfactant was studied experimentally at 298.15 K. The pseudo-ternary phase diagram for the microemulsion system has been delineated at different surfactant to co-surfactant mass ratio of 1:1, 2.4:1 and 4:1. Some physico-chemical properties such as densit...
متن کاملTadalafil Transdermal Drug Delivery Using Microemulsion Formulation in Laboratory Model
Background and purpose: Tadalafil has gained wide clinical acceptance in treatment of erectile dysfunction due to its long treatment window and lower potential for visual impairment. Transdermal drug delivery prevents systemic elimination, drug-drug and food-drug interactions, and reduces side effects by reducing the dose of the drug. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of microemu...
متن کاملLaccase Activity in CTAB-Based Water-in-Oil Microemulsions
The aim of this study was to develop a microemulsion system as a medium for laccase-catalyzed reactions. Phase behavior studies were conducted by constructing partial pseudo-ternary phase diagrams for systems comprising of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), various organic solvents as the oil phase (i.e., hexane, cyclohexane, heptane, octane, isooctane, toluene, isopropyl myristate), two co...
